I wrote 'Le Cri Défendu' for the TV show H24 (broadcasted on ARTE), and it was directed by Charlotte Abramow, starring Déborah Lukumuena (pictured here). When Charlotte Abramow was invited to showcase her work at a prestigious museum in NYC (Charlotte killing it), she needed an English version of it. She asked me to transcreate it myself, and naturally, the result was different from what Arte's transcreator had come up with. To begin with, mine is titled 'Sistxs Helping Sistx' instead of 'A Call for Help'.

Lorsque Charlotte Abramow a été invitée à présenter son travail dans un prestigieux musée new-yorkais (Charlotte quoi), elle avait besoin d'une version anglaise. Elle m'a demandé de la transcréer moi-même, et bien sûr, le résultat n'était pas le même que celui obtenu par la personne qui a transcréé pour Arte. D'abord, ma version s'appelle "Sistxs Helping Sistx" et non pas "A Call for Help" (un appel à l'aide).

I trained UBS and HSBC employees to learn the importance of a brand's tone of voice and how to stick to that tone of voice when you write.

In 2015, I founded and ran a multilingual marketing, language, and research services company working with over 30 international clients across banking, education, arts and culture, advertising, NGOs, dating platforms, and more. I coordinated a team of 15+ freelance collaborators based across Europe and Canada, overseeing projects from start to finish—client communication, timelines, quality control, and delivery included.
Working remotely and across multiple time zones, I managed several projects at once, often with competing deadlines, while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and client satisfaction. Over time, I developed the company’s internal workflows and processes, and built long-term relationships with clients.
My work also included editing, proofreading, research, marketing, and branding projects, all requiring a high level of precision, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
The company was closed in December 2025.

En 2015, j’ai fondé et dirigé une entreprise de services multilingues en marketing, langues et recherche, travaillant avec plus de 30 clients internationaux dans les secteurs de la banque, de l’éducation, des arts et de la culture, de la publicité, des ONG, des plateformes de rencontre, et autres. Je coordonnais une équipe de plus de 15 freelances basé(e)s en Europe et au Canada, en supervisant les projets de A à Z (communication client, gestion des délais, contrôle qualité et livraison inclus).
Travaillant à distance et sur plusieurs fuseaux horaires, je gérais simultanément plusieurs projets, souvent à flux tendus, tout en maintenant une attention constante à la précision et à la satisfaction client. Au fil du temps, j’ai développé les processus et les workflows internes de l’entreprise, et construit des relations clients durables.
Mon travail comprenait également des missions de rédaction, de relecture, de recherche, de marketing et de branding, nécessitant toutes un haut niveau de précision, de rigueur analytique et d’attention aux détails.
L’entreprise a fermé ses portes en décembre 2025.

And for this gig, being a screenwriter and a film producer helped tremendously. Regular translators don’t know this: screenplays are not novels. The words you use have to be very specific, they should convey what is seen and what is heard, and not at all what is felt.
I was hired by Sidekick Content to transcreate the entire screenplay of the Norwegian feature film Amundsen from English to French, for their client motionblur.no. Great experience, I’m still cold and shaking from delving into that universe. (And yet I was in Cameroon when I was working on it!)

Pour ce travail, le fait d'être scénariste et productrice de films m'a bien aidée. Les gens qui font de la traduction traditionnelle ne le savent pas : les scénarios ne sont pas des romans. Les mots que vous utilisez doivent être très spécifiques, ils doivent transmettre ce qui est vu et ce qui est entendu, et pas du tout ce qui est ressenti. Sinon la production s'énerve.
J'ai été engagée par Sidekick Content pour transcréer l'intégralité du scénario du long métrage norvégien Amundsen de l'anglais au français, pour leur client motionblur.no. C'était une expérience formidable, j'en suis encore toute frigorifiée et tremblante pour avoir plongé dans cet univers (et pourtant j’étais au Cameroun quand je bossais dessus).

From 2018 to 2021, I was Wildbiene+Partner’s (Switzerland) and its French branch Pollinature’s official French proofreader, their German-to-French translator and transcreator, and their French copywriter. I happily filled my head with apiculture trivia. That experience scarred me for life, in a good way. Now I can’t even spend an entire day without mentioning wild bees! I won the call for proposals of YWCA Canada, which was seeking intersectional feminist artists to create content for their Week Without Violence in 2022. The focus of their initiative was specifically on addressing online violence. In response, I wrote a manifesto intended for fellow activists who experience oppression, harassment, and/or silencing online. I titled it “Le cri narré des abeilles” and transcreated it into English as “When Bees Cry, What Do They Say?”.
