SAVE THE DATE: Picnic with The Roncy QBC on 8/29
Ever since we launched The Roncesvalles Quiet Book Club on April 7 this year, people have been able to make it to the (first and only) afternoon session, the sessions during their period of unemployment, the ones during their medical leave or summer holidays…
For this back-to-school season that will certainly bring new faces and take old ones away, I thought we could celebrate our 20th gathering (QBC #20 is on August 25) by hanging out together for the sake of getting to know each other!
Let’s all have a picnic and chill in High Park on Saturday August 29 at 11:00 AM.
The “Chill” in “Picnic & Chill”: It is called Picnic & Chill, but that doesn’t mean it is an exhibitionnist sex party! This event is run by an autistic person who tends to take things literally and will not let a bunch of allosexuals on the Internet redefine the word “chill”. The “Chill” in “Picnic & Chill” just means that the event is introvert and neurodiverse-friendly! Chill, put that strap-on away, jeez.
Meeting point: We will meet in front of SAVA at 10:45 AM and walk together to High Park. The others can join us in High Park from11:00 AM here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/4rdWZLnP3mQLA36b7
What to bring: Bring your picnic, your blanket, your sensory tools, your musical instrument, a notebook, a book if you want to read, any games you’d like to play or teach us... I’ll bring cards with ice-breaking questions, grids of crosswords for people who prefer to bond in silence, and a timer for those who are down for some writing games!
What if it rains? We’ll just meet up the next day, same time and place!
