Forcing Myself to Watch Movies
I don’t usually watch movies, unless they’re short films. Movies are like a single slice of pizza. I don't understand people who buy just one slice of pizza. Or a single scoop of ice cream. I'd much rather watch TV shows: the whole pizza, the whole tub of ice cream that I can put back in the freezer whenever I want. So I found a way to force myself to watch feature films:
The system I came up with to reduce decision fatigue is to follow the alphabet: first, a comedy whose title begins with the letter A; then a drama that begins with B; then a queer romance that begins with C; then a boring non-queer romance that begins with D; then a biopic that begins with E; and then back to comedy, this time with the letter F... and so on.
But what about the other genres? Well, I thought about that:
I've also decided to watch a documentary on the 15th of every month. Those will follow their own alphabetical order, starting with the numbers 0–9 and then the letter A.
